The Common Effluent Treatment Plant at Maligaithope Sector was established in year 1998 for a capacity of 1100 m3/day. It has 17 member tanneries out of which 12 member tannery are in regular operation now. It is situated at No.12, Kaspa Road, Ambur – 635802, Thirupattur District, Tamilnadu. The DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, GoI has approved the project with following components for Amburtec - Maligaithope CETP with a total financial outlay of Rs.25.95 Crores:
