The Common Effluent Treatment Plant at Thuthipet Sector was established in year 1995 a capacity of 2219 m3/day. It has 49 member tanneries out of which 38 are currently operational. All member units are Micro and small units. It is situated at Periyavarikam, Thuthipet, Ambur – 635811, Thirupattur District, Tamilnadu. The DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, GoI have approved the project under IFLADP for Amburtec – Thuthipet CETP with a total financial outlay of Rs.58.85 Crores
